Updated : Apr 15, 2026

The team behind the film Saiyaara is officially reuniting for a new project, but fans expecting a sequel should take note: this is not Saiyaara 2. Director Mohit Suri, producer Akshaye Widhani, and lead actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are coming together for a completely fresh story under the Yash Raj Films banner.

The upcoming movie is described as an intense romantic drama. Given Mohit Suri's history of directing emotionally charged love stories, this new venture aligns perfectly with his established filmmaking style. The makers have also promised a strong, soul-stirring musical soundtrack, which is usually a central element in Suri's directorial projects.

While Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda will share the screen once again, they will be stepping into a brand-new narrative rather than continuing their previous roles. The decision to reunite the same core team for a different story suggests a strong working dynamic and creative alignment among the cast and crew.

Production for the yet-to-be-titled film is scheduled to begin later this year. Fans of intense romantic dramas now have a new project to watch out for, even if it isn't the sequel many initially anticipated.
